16th Exhibition of Contemporary Art France – Japan with participation of multi nationality 2015
«16th Exhibition of Contemporary Art France – Japan with participation of multi nationality 2015» was held Japan from August 5th to 16th 2015 at The National Art Center, Tokyo. In the middle of summer vacation, japanese art lovers
visited this museum, center of art scene of Tokyo, to appreciate 311 artworks in total, 231 japanese works and 76 international works. More than 800 people came to this exhibition every day, that exceeded the record of last year.

The exhibition presents a selection of actual artist’s works, made through various technics and inspirations peculiar to every artist. The exhibition view suggested an eclectic artistic panorama, traditional art form as well as more contemporary way, figurative or abstractive, and arts and crafts such as kimono, Japanese doll.
Above all, it was a precious occaision for the japanese visitors to find many international artists working around the world in these days.

On August 6th, the opening day, several events took place at the Auditorium in the presence of japanese artists and follwing invited guests of honor: Ms. Sylvie Koechlin, new president of Salon d’Automne, France
Ms. Isabelle Schmitt, photographer artist of Salon d’Automne International, and 2 representatives of the next exhibition JIAS/CAEA in Corsica, Mr. Alexis Antoine Zacchi and Mr. Jean-Marie Zacchi, who is also president of this exhibition «Art Actuel».

Mr. Zacchi gave a lecture about the history and the art of Corsica, where the next exhibition of CAEA/JIAS “48th Japanese Today’s Visual Art Exhibition ” will take place in 2016. This “island of beauty” is very attractive for Japanese artists because of their nature landscape and their profound historical background. This conference was popular among the audience. After that at same place, the award ceremony for exhibitions CAEA/JIAS 2015 and the opening ceremony of «Art Actuel» were held, all of attendees celebrated the opening of this event with great enthusiasm.
On August 7th, a conference of commentary in slide show, which is the most expected event for artists, was held by Ms Koechlin, Ms Schmitt, and Mr Zacchi. Their commentaries carefully given from various points of view a deeply impressed every japanese artist assisted and certainly encouraged them a lot.
During the exhibition, our project started since 2011, «Support project for the children in Rikuzentakata suffered by the 3.11 earthquake» interested many visitors so that finally we could offer 1000 sketchbooks to 5 kindergarden in Rikuzentakata.
